Washington, D.C. — The Advancing Excellence in Long-Term Care Collaborative (AELTCC)—the group that founded Advancing Excellence Campaign (now known as the National Nursing Home Quality Improvement Campaign)—is broadening its mission to leverage its strength serving as a collective forum for consumer, government, trade, clinical, and other stakeholders in an effort to elevate discussion of diverse perspectives, policies, regulations, and environmental trends that affect post-acute and long-term services and supports (LTSS).
In so doing, AELTCC has transferred the operation of the National Nursing Home Quality Improvement Campaign and its website to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS will maintain the Campaign website, which provides free evidence-based and model-practice resources to support continuous quality improvement.
AELTCC will continue to serve as a resource for organizations interested in federal agency and legislative initiatives; educate providers regarding best practices and the latest regulatory requirements; and support and share member research and education for those in the profession and for the public.
“As we move forward with a renewed purpose and focused mission, AELTCC will leverage our unprecedented collaboration of 20-plus organizations to improve quality of life and quality of care for residents being served by the post-acute and LTSS sectors,” says Jay Sackman, AELTCC chair. “We will harness the collective expertise of AELTCC to elevate important issues; provide needed feedback and education; and advance resident care.”
AELTCC membership consists of trade associations, professional societies, consumer advocates and their organizations, corporations, governmental partners, and individuals with an interest in issues affecting post-acute care, LTSS, and its practitioners.
